• When typing in the path for the installation of SMF, the plugin only provides the fixed path as from /home/user/public_html

But i am also using an addon domain on my server, and my actual forum path is /home/user/forum

How do i modify this? I can only access as from the public_html folder.

By the way, i redid my entire blog conversion to SMF for my 4050 posts and i noticed that the conversion only did 999 posts at a time and then it stopped. So, i re-selected all posts not synchronized and the converter synchronized another 999 posts only. Anyway, i was able to convert all 4050 posts, but the conversion is only possible by converting 999 posts at a time. Just a note for others trying out the plugin.

But i do not understand code at all! ??
If i can easily replace all the body text from all the 4000 posts with dummy text, then i will do it as it will overwrite all the confidential information. I will do this using a backup, of course. ??
What exact query do i run in phpmyadmin to achieve this?

Also, you will like this post, that i have made on the official SMF forum:

I am testing 0.3.1 and when i click on the “Export Posts” link, here is the page display:

    POST To Synchronize

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 65798144) (tried to allocate 35 bytes) in /home/user/site/blog/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1419

how many posts are you exporting at the same time? cuz it seem that you exced max allowed memoriy…

I have not even seen the list of posts. I just clicked on the “Export Posts” link and it immediately showed me that error above.

its on Export Posts or Export Comments?

Either way it must be something on your server side…
the script only used 35bytes so its not that much…
i just finished testing Export 5000 Posts and 15000 Comments with no problem whatsoever

No, it is working now. There was a problem in my WP configuration.
The 3 tabs: Options, Export Posts and Export Comments are displaying properly.

I will now export the posts and their comments to see if they work.

Note: To all attempting to export thousands of posts and comments, you should use Google Chrome, as it is easier and faster to work with than Firefox3, which tends to lock up often.

yes indeed…i just export 15000 comments in a row and it took something like 30min and 1.5Gb RAM lol
but what matters is that it worked!

i just launched 0.3.2 with some improvements so use it…

this one have Remove option and filters trackbacks from comments…

now i’ll go sleep…my wife is waiting for me ??

    Thanks for everything, SchattenMann.
I will test the new 0.3.2 tomorrow morning and will leave feedback. With every new release, the plugin is getting closer to being perfect.

See you tomorrow, or whenever your wife doesn’t need you. ?? jk

    Good night!
