• Hi all, I have version 1.8 of the WP Touch plugin and it works great with one exception, I cannot seem to get the apple-touch-icon to work. I tried putting the icon in my root directory, with no success. I then tried putting it in another location with the correct link path in the header of my blogs theme (site is https://www.richardpeters.co.uk/blog if you want to double check) but still no joy.

Whenever I view the blog on an iPhone I get the little grey icon with a blue circle in the middle. If I save a shortcut to the phones homepage, for a brief second, on the page where you can give the shortcut a name, the icon appears as a screen shot of the blog before reverting back to the grey square with a blue circle.

If anyone could give me any further suggestions of how to get the icon to show correctly that would be great!!

  • Your logo icon is the apple touch icon. No other modification is needed. We assume most people would want the logo icon and the bookmark (apple-touch-icon) to be the same.

Thanks for using WPtouch and enjoy!
