[Plugin: WPtouch] Mobile users complaining that they're not being directed to the mobile site
-
I don’t have a smartphone myself, but run a website with decent enough traffic that a mobile version was becoming a widely-requested feature.
I found this plugin and love it, easy to figure out and I was able to test it via Safari and a friend’s phone and it was displaying correctly.
However, I’m already getting complaints that some mobile users aren’t being directed to the mobile version. Beyond ensuring that their user agents are listed, is there anything else that *I* can do for them? Like I said, I’m not familiar with mobile browsing myself, so I have no idea about what sort of reasons a phone might have to be getting the desktop theme instead of the mobile version.
Or is there some sort of way to put a version off the mobile/desktop switch function on the PC theme as well so that those wayward mobile users can make their way to the version of the site that they’d like?
Or do I just need to tell the complainers that there’s nothing I can do?
Any help would be appreciated!
