    Hi,
I noticed that SG Security Optimizer wrongly reports that my wordpress needs an update.

Although my wordpress is fully updated (plugins, themes and langs up to date) the dashboard (wp-admin/admin.php?page=sg-security) displays that

    YOUR WORDPRESS NEEDS ATTENTION
There are new updates for your website. Keeping your WordPress updated is crucial for your website security

    Cheers,

    Hello @psykonevro,

    Thank you for the report.

I was unable to replicate the issue on my end. It’s likely related to a conflict with another plugin or theme, which may be interfering with the software update checks performed by the Security Optimizer.

If you are a SiteGround client, we kindly suggest opening a ticket in the Help Desk. This will allow our Technical Support team to thoroughly investigate the case.

Alternatively, if you’re not a SiteGround client, we recommend disabling all plugins one-by-one. This will help determine if the issue is being caused by any of them.

    Best Regards,
    Kuzman Stoyanov

    Hi @kuzmanstoyanov

Thanks for the hint. Was indeed another plugin (updraftplus) which didn’t reported that a new plugin version was available.

I solved it out. Thanks so much!

I just hate being yelled at every time I log into my site. Do you REALLY have to greet me with “YOUR WORDPRESS NEEDS ATTENTION!” as if this is mission-critical? It’s almost always just some innocuous update to a plugin that doesn’t impact the site in the least, but you constantly yell that at me. Could you tone that down, please? It’s off-putting and annoying.
