[Plugin: XML Google Maps] Error Message

Hello,

I am getting the following error message when I post a map:

Warning: fopen() [function.fopen]: URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration in /home/.halters/nycaviation/nycaviation.com/newspage/wp-content/plugins/xml-google-maps/xmlgooglemaps_kmlParser.php on line 26

Warning: fopen(https://www.nycaviation.com/maps/jfk-airport-spotting-and-photography-locations.kml) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in /home/.halters/nycaviation/nycaviation.com/newspage/wp-content/plugins/xml-google-maps/xmlgooglemaps_kmlParser.php on line 26

The map does appear beneath the error. Your help would be much appreciated.
