[Plugin: XML Sitemap Generator] Not working? Sitemap looks funny.

That all looks fine. Remember that it’s an xml file for Google – not a sitemap to use on your site.

I maintained my own sitemap before I got my wordpress blog. This looks a lot different than sitemaps I’ve made. Also, when I had my blog at my last host the sitemap looked the same as what I made. Maybe I am not seeing the same thing you are seeing.

It’s not a site map page. It’s an xml sitemap.

All those times I accidentally said “sitemap” what I meant was xml sitemap.

I just did view source on my xml sitemap and it does have the same code as what I made. It just looks diffeent.

Ah! The plugin author has added a xsl-translation sheet to convert the xml into something that can be more easily read via a web browser.

OK. I’m happy to hear that it is not broken, that it just looks different on purpose.

I’m having to set everything up from scratch since the host change. I just wanted to make sure this was not a problem before I submitted my xml sitemap to search engines.
