[Plugin: Yet Another Related Posts Plugin] Picture With No Text Post Problem

rhalpha – do you see the “email this/share this” buttons you have on the bottom of your posts? That plugin’s text is being picked up when creating the excerpts. What plugin is that you’re using? I can block that plugin’s text from getting in the excerpts for a future version.

Instead of blocking that particular plugins text you should modify YARP so that it picks up the “caption text” as the excerpt from that picture in example.

Implementing random plugin blocking will eventually create huge load on server.

I hope you don’t implement that kind of blocking but for your information the plugin is called SexyBookmarks.

As for why the caption text doesn’t show up but the SexyBookmarks show up, I can’t say… YARPP simply uses WP’s own the_excerpt() system for presenting the excerpts.
