[Plugin: Yet Another Related Posts Plugin] Really slow to create new posts when this plugin is activ

  • Installed Yet Another Related Post Plugin and noticed that creating posts in WordPress (i.e. the wp_insert_post function) slows down dramatically.

    I performed a quick debug and found an SQL call which simply deletes one row from the yarpp_related_cache table…. it was consistently taking over 9 seconds to execute!

    In the week it’s been running the table now has over 110k rows and is around 6MB. Seems a bit crazy. Unsure if the table is even indexed?!

    Has anyone had similar experiences with this plugin?
