[Plugin: Yet Another Related Posts Plugin] Yarpp showing same post

Hi,

I tried the 3.2.1b2 version but the related posts are still ONE related post and is still the same as the current post :S

Can I send you something from my database to help you reproduce the bug ?

I also tried &action=flush in the admin plugin page but it won’t change a thing…

Mine’s still working fine today with 3.2.1b2, mitcho. Let me know if you want another sql dump from me to compare with others who are still having problems.

Hey Mitcho, just thought you should know that I have also been having the same problem with the new upgrade. I was happy to see version 3.2.1b2 in this thread last night, but installing it hasn’t made a difference.
What else can we try to solve this issue? I have reduced the match down to 1 and it’s still showing the currect post only with a “0” next to it.

Thanks to the INCREDIBLE patience of @inmotiongraphics, we were able to figure out what was going on here! It turns out (I believe) all of you posting in this topic here are using PHP4, which I was not in testing, but apparently makes a very slight, technical difference which mattered here.

The new beta should address this issue for you all:

I made a slight change for another issue and I just want to make sure…

The latest beta, 3.2.1b4 also works fine on my site, Mitcho. (Although you’d fixed this problem earlier on my server with 3.2.1b2.)

Great! Oh, sorry… and are you able to go to the Plugins listing and disactivate and reactivate the plugin without a hitch?

I am afraid that didn’t work too well Mitcho. I got this fatal error when deactivating:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: related_entries() in /users2/domains/floristchronicles.com/web/wp-content/themes/designpile/single.php on line 45
..

And now I seem to be stuck with it even after reactivating the plugin. You can see the error here:

@inmotiongraphics oh! well, sorry, that’s because when you deactivate that plugin, it no longer is available for the theme. When you reactivate it it should be back, though, and it does seem to be working for you now on the site. I presume it temporarily looked like it didn’t recover because of your caching.

The actual question that I was most curious about was, did activating YARPP work without giving an error? Sounds like that step actually did work?
