Ok so I have just done the update for Yoast SEO and it went through fine. Except now I have a constant An automated WordPress update has failed to complete – please attempt the update again now error on my dashboard, Yoast SEO has dissapeared from my settings and doesnt show in my posts?

A quick check on FTP shows it is still there and when I try to reinstall it says failed as the destination folder already exists?

Probably an easy fix but im clueless. Is there a file I need to delete or am I just out of luck? This has happened before but I took the whinger way out and deleted it and never used it! That said I have grown to like it and would like to get it back active.

    Thanks for any help.

bit the bullet and deleted the plugin through FTP. Got rid of the error message by deleting the upgrade folder in wp-content and the .maintenacne file in the main directory.
