[Plugin: Yoast] Tags blocked, still showing up on SEOMoz crawl

  • I am using the Yoast SEO plugin and I want to block the tags and categories pages from showing up. In wordpress I went to Dashboard > SEO > Indexation and I checked categories and tags (I only want pages and posts to show up). I saved the changes afterwards.

    However if I crawl the site on SEOMoz it does not block these pages from being crawled. I’m not sure if these are blocked in a robots.txt file (which doesn’t seem to exist) or .htaccess (which has no mention of these blocks) or somewhere else.

    Any thoughts on why these are not blocking?
