    Hi,

Am haveing a problem with activating alot of the plugins. When I install my plugins by ftp client and then try to activate them it goes to a error 500 – Internatl server error. So i went to my server provider for help and they said that my wordpress was installed fine and that it could be a version issues, but i dont think so becase buddypress is updated. So what else could it be. I am also using default theme.

    Thanks

  • There are many raisons to have error 500: I happened to have such an error due to bad transfert mode of my FTP client for mo files.
Such files are to be transfered as binaries, my client was wrongly setup on ASCII tranfert instead of automatic.
Re-transfering files in binary mode fixed the case.
    Hope this can help you…
