  • go to the plugins tab in the worpress admin area and enable the plugins. They are currently not activated, therefore their functionality is not turned on

I can’t activite them, because they aren’t listed. My problem is that the plugins weren’t shown in my pluginlist in the admin area

Make sure you are uploading them to the correct folder! ie… your-blog-dir/wp-content/plugins/

If that doesn’t work, make sure that they are all in PHP format and try uploading them again.

I checked it, but it still dosen’t run.

You wouldn’t be getting nailed with a cache problem, ie browser not updating your page?

I have the exact same problem. The plugins do not show up on the plugins page. I have tried many of them, and not a one will show up.

Mine is fixed. Changed over to a Linux/PHP account on GoDaddy. Everything works fine now.

I’m having the same problem. I have a wordpress blog using platform 1.5.1.3 and I had a script to replace that was slightly updated and when I installed it, it changed the entire layout and when I went into the plugin list, the list now says:
Couldn’t open plugins directory or there are no plugins available.

and none of the plugins are listed. I took out the plugin and I STILL can’t get the plugin list to come up. Yet the other plugins still work.

Blog is not mine but I host it and the plugin worked beautifully in my blog. I don’t understand.

Please help me get the plugin list to come back up ??

    Thanks,
    Aimee

    It’s the shoutbox script.

I can’t get any of MY plug-ins to show either. They show in the plug-in list and are activated also, but lots of the ones I set in the plug-ins directory only show up under the plug-ins tab, but not actually IN the blog. Some plug-ins work, but most do not. Its not my browser cache clogged up either. Any help out there?

Which plugins? To make most plugins actually do something in your blog, you usually have to add something to your template. Check the instructions with each plugin, or the pages you got them from.
