• Been having a little problem lately downloading plugins directly within my WP plugin interface.

2 months ago, I upgraded my blog to the most recent version using the WordPress Automatic Upgrade plugin.

Everything works fine except the issues I’m having now with plugins not unpacking.

Not just the plugin below, but any plugin I try and install.

When I do install plugins, the process goes as follows:

    Downloading install package from https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/wptouch.1.9.11.zip.

    Unpacking the package.

That’s where it stops. The plugin doesn’t install.

Yet if I install the plugin via cpanel it loads and unzips correctly every time.

Any reason why this is happening:

    Many thanks,

  • What are your wp-content and plugins folders chmoded to? There usually lie the problems.

    Content folder = 755

    Plugins folder = 755

    Thanks Shane!

Hmm that is more than high enough, so should not be the problem.

I do not know, have you tried reuploading the WordPress files? Something may have gotten lost in the upgrade.

    Good luck,
