    Hi,

    Please help,

    I am trying out membership plugins and I love your Membership 2 plugin. Its very easy to setup.

    I have a multisite network. After installing and activating the membership plugin (on a single subsite) plugins menu and blogvault disappeared from the dashboard.

    Also the network admin menu disappeared. Network Admin role got demoted to subscriber.

    Had to delete the plugin through FTP. Now everything is back to normal.

    Hey there doyatthinkdoy,

    Hope you’re well today!

    Are you getting any errors once that happens? We had a similar problem here, please check the following thread:

    Hi Bojan,

    Thank you for contacting us.

    It didn’t work. So I tried retracing all the steps I took. Actually the problem is ‘Test Memberships’. When it is turned on WordPress Dashboard goes wacky. Well not really wacky. Its doing what its supposed to do. But still

    Thank you for your help.

    Regards
    Doyan

    Hi,

    When I turn on category protection, the content is hidden from everyone except the members who have access to it.

    Is there a way to set up it so that everyone can see the content before the read more tag. And only the members who have access to the category sees the whole content.

    Thank you & Sorry for the trouble.

    Hey there Doyan,

    This is by plugin design which means protecting specific posts or category posts will also hide those posts from other pages too, for example your blog page.

    At the moment there is no ideal solution for this, only few workarounds which will require additional work.

    One of those would be using content protection. Which means hiding content within each post with membership level shortcodes which you should be able to see in Membership 2 -> Membership https://screencast.com/t/2urwKNVS. By doing this only additional content will be available only for users with specific membership level inside single post pages.

    The other one would be using specific URL protection. To do this you’ll have to activate the add on in the admin in Membership 2 -> Add ons https://screencast.com/t/MWBv7MfOd3ep and after activating you should be able to add URL restrictions in Membership 2 -> Protection Rules -> URL Restrictions. This means you’ll have to add specific URLs to those posts which will make them protected when users try to open single post pages.

    Hope this helps ??

    Best regards,
    Bojan

    Hi Bojan,

    Thank you. I have setup URL protection Add-on like you suggested. Its working fine.

    I have one more issue I need help with. In the registration form there are 2 captchas. Instead of one. I am using WP Recaptcha Integration plugin (the only plugin working for me).

    Thank you again
    Doyan

    PS:
    I tried WP Recaptcha suggested by WPMU DEV support site. And sweet captcha, no more captchas, and Google Recaptcha. When these are activated the captcha and sign up button does not show up.

    Hey again Doyan,

    Can you please test for possible theme/plugin conflicts? To do that please try using default WordPress theme like Twenty Fifteen and deactivating all other plugins (aside from membership2 and the captcha plugin you’d like to use) as displayed in the following flowchart to know which theme/plugin is conflicting if any.

    Also can you post a link to your registration page so I can take a look?

    Best regards,
    Bojan

    Hi Bojan

    I have just the membership plugin and the recaptcha integration plugin activated. Using the default wp 2015 theme.

    Its still showing 2 captchas.

    Here is my registration link:

    Hi

    Just found that the lost password form doesn’t have the above issue.

    Hey again Doyan,

    I’m not sure why there are two captchas added there, I’ve been testing this on my sandbox site using the plugin you mentioned above and there was only one captcha being displayed on my registration page.

    I’ve also tried registering on your site using only the first captcha and registration went through, so I’m assuming that we could fix this by hiding the second captcha with CSS.

    To do that please try adding the following CSS code in the style.css file of your child theme or tab add it in your site using the following plugin:

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/simple-custom-css

    div#g-recaptcha-2 {
      display: none;
    }

    Hope this helps ??

    Best regards,
    Bojan

    Hi,

    The custom CSS plugin and the code you gave did their job. The second captcha is now hidden.

    Thanks and regards
