• Hey, guys! I’m a first time WordPress-er and complete web design rookie here, so please bear with me if things just don’t click with me. :\

I’m working on getting my site set up, and things have been going fairly smoothly so far, all things considered. I have version 3.6.1 and am using WP through Host Gator.

Here’s my problem: everything seemed to be working fine, until I went to search for plugins today, and I was met with the following error upon attempting to do so: “An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.ads-software.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.”

Here’s a screenshot of what I’m looking at:

…and a link to my website (still in progress): https://WingspanGraphics.com

    Any suggestions? ??

  • I have exactly the same problem with WP and my website hosted with Hostgator.

It seems came out after upgrading to the last version 3.6.1.

Me to. So bummed. I need to ad something. Hoping for a fix. Like a big fat TADA….. it was all you imagination.

Check with your hosts to see if there’s some kind of proxy filtering happening on their servers or network.

Hmmm, might be Hostgator just did a switch. Anyone else on the Hostgator Circuit?
