You’ve sounded like you were looking for setup some kind of social network and BuddyPress is the WP solution for such kind of things. Sorry if I’ve lost the point.

Oops! that would be a huge amount of work!

I’m pretty sure that WP (or WPMU, or BuddyPress) could met your needs but it, surely, will require tons of work and a couple of WP Pros to do it.

Why do you want to switch your engine?

The code in PHP-Nuke is very difficult to modify. It almost doesn’t offer you any support or updates. If you want to add new plugin you have to hardcore files.

Actually I already copied all users and post to WordPress database. I’ll need to hire programmer to write new code for Gallery (hope it won’t cost me fortune) ??

Buddypress will soon have a version for WordPress but currenlty only Buddypress will work on the MU version of WordPress. Stay tuned…
