Plugin/Widget to only alert subscribers of post?!

  • Hi,
    I’ve been looking through the forums and the web for a plug in/widget that will allow people to subscribe by email for notification when I have a new post. All ones I have tried, Feedburner, Subscribe2 and Jetpack, send the entire post NOT just an alert.

    Can anyone recommend a service or point me in the right direction?

    Any help is appreciated.

  • Did you know that you can set WordPress to only show an excerpt of a post (maybe 100 words) in the RSS, rather than the whole post? People can read a little bit, and go to the site if they want the whole thing.

    There’s also a setting in FeedBurner to do this.

    Surprisingly, I can’t find a plugin that just sends alerts.

    I think you never enable email subscription option in feedburner.you have to First setup complete feedburner – Go To Setup feedburner and Now use Plugin to allow subscribe people.
