Pluign Make my site so slow

    Yesterday i installed and configured this plugin that seems awesome. i did activate the option to block some ip countries like china, russia and others…
    when i wooke up today my site was so slow throwing 504 error.
    i did contact my hosting they said its due to a plugin may i have in my repository. the only plugin ive installed finally was this plugin. i did deactivate this plugin and erase but my site continues to be slower. i though maybe this plugins have some tables on my db so i restored a backup of the day before.
    my site still slower do know what to do. in the front end my site is fast. but in the admin area i cannot continue working.
    i need help resolving this issue as my hosting are saying that the server from their side everything is going good

  • Hi prodigy36,

    While Stop Spammers does indeed use up some memory, we haven’t had many reports of it causing major slow-downs.

    Are you on a shared hosting account?

    What PHP version are you on?

    Are you utilizing a caching plugin like WP Rocket?

    There are many ways to improve the performance of your server.

    Hi.
    Thank you for response. im on siteground grow big plan. yes im using wo rocket. i did restore a backup of my site and im not having this plugin installed in my plugin repository. affraid to install it again and broke the site as my site is online business. while i restored the backup i lost one registered user info on my site.
    it would be a pleasure to have this plugin on my wordpress app.
