    Hi,
Some strings have a single and plural form.
currently the single form can be translated.
How can I translate the plural form?
    Thanks

    What language?

    Persian

    for example:
    single form: comment on
    plural from: comments on

but there is only one form for translating these kind of strings.

The baked-in plural rules for Persian have no plural variations, but I can see that this is a mistake (or that Unicode have updated the rules since I last built the data file)

The Latest development version has a fix for this. The rules will now be shipped as n != 1.

    Source: https://unicode.org/cldr/charts/latest/supplemental/language_plural_rules.html#fa

However, Loco Translate will (since version 2.1.0-dev) observe the PO file’s Plural-Rules header and I notice that the WordPress core translations for Persian are also using the (apparently wrong) single form.

    In summary:
    1. Install the latest dev version
    2. Fix the plural header in any files that are wrong.

    Hi
    I installed the dev version.
In this version Single and plural forms can be translated separately.
    Thanks for this

but the single form still shows both single and plural in source text field.
I think plural form should be removed in source text of single forms, because there is no need to it.
    Thank you very much.

Both source strings will always shown for completeness/context. It may be that one is more relevant than the other, depending on the language. This is expected by translators, so won’t be changing.
