Plz plz help! Backup Scheduling & Email zip not works but Manual Backup works

    This has been since ever on my website.

    I am on WP 4.2.2 and hosting is on Dreamhost (Dreampress is the hosting type). I confirmed with tech support and The absolute path to mysqldump and mysql is /usr/bin/. However everytime I have to manually backup my DB (Database –> Backup DB –> Backup). The Automatic DB Backup scheduler at Database –> DB Options does not work :(. Also when I take manual backup then I do not receive any Email.

    There is nothing much I can do, check your email logs to see if the email is sent out. Sometimes the db gets too big to send out via email.

    Thanks Lester. I am fine if Email does not work but my biggest concern is about automatic backup scheduling. as mentioned i have to take a manual backup each time. AUtomatic backup just does not seem to work. what can be the probable cause. how can i debug?

    Cron jobs ran, but too long and it timesout? There are a lot of factors. Check your server logs when the cron is run to see if there are errors? Also install Crontrol plugin to see if the cron is there.
