PMP for a subsite private area?

Hi, this is a great membership plugin, but I’m also having difficulty running it on a multisite.

Like the OP, I’m also looking to allow access to members-only content from one subsite to several other subsites using the same user-account.

This network-subsite plugin you mentioned looks ideal, but I can’t find a way to get it working. Is there any documentation for it anywhere?

I tried Network-activating PMPro and then activating the network-subsite plugin on all except one of my subsites, but I couldn’t get users created in one subsite to gain access to protected content on another subsite. I guess I’m just setting it up wrong. ??

Free membership levels won’t work – the ‘membership’ is the sale of a networked site. Having a private area is specific to one single networked site (ie subsite). I don’t think I want to turn PMPro on for that subsite, so I’m trying to figure out the best way to have a private area with protected content without resorting to password-protecting everything.

You might have to adjust line 15 in the network subsite addon: https://github.com/strangerstudios/pmpro-network-subsite/blob/master/pmpro-network-subsite.php#L15. This would be the prefix for the main site of your network. Sometimes this is wp but it could be different. Please let us know if this helps.

It sounds like multiple membership levels per user might help here? Jason is working on this for early 2014. I’d say that you could have a user sign up for the paid level and then assign them the free level as well, thus giving them access to that private area.
