PMPRO Shortcode keeps me from adding page content

I have been having trouble using Paid Memberships Pro on my webpage. I set up my member levels and then had the plugin generate the pages associated with the membership sign up process. I was hoping to edit those pages to add content but the shortcode used by the plugin seems to be overriding any changes I make.

The membership levels page has a list of membership options with a selector button next to it. I want to add two columns above the list to provide additional information. If i remove the shortcode my columns are displayed as intended on the page, but if I add it back in they disappear and only the list is displayed.[pmpro_account] is the shortcode used on that page.

I have been able to find almost no information on this, they PMPRO website says the generated pages and shortcodes can be edited through the /pages folder of the plugin but I also have no idea where that folder is.
