Personalized .po and .mo Locales files get overwritten

  • Hi All,

    i’ve upgraded a couple of my blogs to the new WP 4.0.

    Seems to work everything smoothly apart that when i overwrite the Locale .po and .mo files in the folder /wp-content/languages/ with my personalized ones (i changed some strings here and there to the it_IT files) these after some hours are overwritten with the WP 4.0 default ones.

    Is there some sort of cronjob i have to deactivate or some other trick/setting i am not fond of in order to avoid this to happen? Is this a bug?
