PodPress Player Alignment

  • hi there, this is my first post…

    i’m not that great with php, well actually i know nothing but i’ve been figuring a lot out by trial and error…

    i had a blog for quite a while under the default theme, but now I’ve moved over to Neutica, which i’m currently playing around with customizing…

    so i came across PodPress for playing audio files, initially i tried Audio Player, but i like PodPress for it’s little links and titles and stuff…

    however my issue is mainly design/cosmetic orientated…

    i want to get the player flush with the left of my page.

    i tried using this code:

    <table align=”left”><tr><td>
    [display_podcast]
    </td></tr></table>

    and that actually got it closer to the edge, it was pretty much centered before i put that code in. but also the white space around the player and links annoys me as well.

    in both those instances the player is flush with the left margin, and they both don’t have the annoying whitespace gap like i do…

    i guess the gap between the player and the links isn’t much of a concern, but between ‘for example’ and the player just looks dumb

    I just checked out your site that you’ve customized with the neutica template and it looks awesome! you really made it your own. I’m in the same position you were in a few months ago. My site is basically looking like the Neutica template right now and I really want to change the background color, and other parts of the layout. I really like how you stretched yours out. It looks a lot smoother and minimalist. I’m using this as a sort of blog/writing/photography site – it’s sort of an experiment and place for me to post my work while I’m in journalism school.

    I’m learning html and css right now but know nothing about php so Im really struggling.

    Could you point out to me where in the code I can change the width and color of the website? I’d love to get rid of that jarring yellow background and change it to white or something neutral.
