Can the coupon post types be extended using PODS? I asked for an answer over a year ago, but your maintainers don’t seem to care to answer.

I’d like to display additional fields with the coupon. I understand the coupon can only be displayed via shortcode, and after trying to extend the post type with the added fields and pod template, the coupon shortcode still only shows the coupon and not the additional fields.

Also, when embedding a coupon using a pod template, into an existing page (rather than another pod custom post type) the coupon renders incorrectly/incompletely, the coupon text is messed up, and the coupon details/instruction text is missing.

If the coupon is embedded in another pod custom post type though, using a pod template, the coupon renders correctly.

Something is not right and needs to be fixed.

Is this a PODS issue or a WPCD plugin issue?

Although coupons are custom post types, they don’t really have their own public view page.

And they rely on custom templates made only for the coupons details to be shown.

So I am not sure at this point it will be possible to use PODS to extend them.

We have plans to create individual pages for coupons in the future.

May be then it will be possible.

    Kind regards.
