    Hello everyone,

I am using Pods in combination with Elementor Page Builder.

Problem 1: I created a Post Type with Taxonomy. Then I made some Pods Fields for displaying dynamic content.

Everything works correctly so far, but I have ann issue with the text field.

I created a Loop Template for my reviews and I wanna show the Review Texts with the help of the Pods field.

If I paste the text in the field, I cannot style it. Means, I can not enter links, fonts and so on.

I tried to prepare the text in word, using text command to change thickness and for adding links. Its not working in the Pods Field.

Problem 2: The Problem deals about permalinks. I made archives for my Posts. If I am checking the url it shows just url/taxonomy/post. Looks like the Post Type has not the correct affiliation to the Taxonomy. I wanna look it like url/post-type/taxonomy/post .

Problem 3: I created a page called Online Casinos, where I display my posts. The post type from Pods, called online_casino. After I created, Pods created a archive page called url/online-casino. I cannot edit this one with Elementor. Does it make more sense try to display my posts on url/online-casino insted of url/online-casinos in relation to permalinks?

Hope you can help me with my problems.

I am new in this forum and I can not see an option to add attachments, hope you understand my problems nevertheless.

    I wish a nice day.

    Best

  • Hi
Can you post the template with the code you are using as that might help.

I don’t understand why you are styling it with Word…

    Hi @wulu1

    Problem 1:
Styling in Word and copying to a web field simply isn’t possible.
If you wish to style it in Elementor you could probably use a module for this.
Another way is to create a custom CSS class and add the styling yourself.
Please contact Elementor support for this issue.

    Problem 2:
This is a WordPress core limitation. Post types always have the following structure:
name.domain/post_type/post (optionally prefixed with the blog prefix).
For custom URL structure you’ll have to create your own code or find a plugin compatible for this:
    https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/53298/custom-post-type-url-rewriting
You can find various topics online for this.

    Problem 3:
You can simply disable archives for that post type.
This is also a default WordPress feature which we simply enable or disable when adding the custom post type.
Whether Elementor can edit this is something you should ask their support.

    Good luck!

    Cheers, Jory

    Hello,

for problem 2 I downloaded a plugin to made my own permalinks.

    New structure is: https://example.com/post_type/taxonomy/term

Message if I am clicking the link: It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help.

I made archive templates but they are just visible on https://example.com/taxonomy/term (old url).

    How I can fix this?

For Problem 1 I think my description was not good. The problem is Pods related. I think its a very simple problem but I dont now now how to describe without screenshots.

I solved the problem with the pods fields. Now I just need to know more about the problem with the permalinks.

Where is the problem and makes it a difference to change it?

Would be nice if you can help with this. For changing the permalink structure I used a plugin called Custom Post Type Permalinks.

    Hi @wulu1

Since only the permalinks aren’t working you should contact the plugin author for Custom Post Type Permalinks, not Pods. We do not offer that feature ??
I’m sure that the plugin author can help you solve your permalink structure!
