Pointing FA to root folder not working

Hi Thom,
before describing my problem let me congratulate you on a fantastic plugin!!

No here’s my problem: however hard I try, the configuration page won’t accept “root directory” as setting.
The strange thing about it: After refreshing the page the system seems to have accepted the change in settings (menue shows “root directory”), but in all the address lines of the base directories it is simply not possible to even click before the WP-installation-folder.
This problem is sort of driving me nuts because it would really come handy to have all the my files located outside the WP-installation folder.

Could you please help me out here?
