• It doesn’t show you anything that you wouldn’t see by just actually, you know, switching your themes. I guess I was expecting something more useful, but this ain’t it.

Also, appears to redirect to the main domain, when the site I’m working on is on a sub domain.

    Hi Paul,

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts. If I may respond:

    Pointless

As explained on the plugin homepage, there are many reasons why people use Theme Switcha:

    • Enables visitors to switch themes via the frontend
    • Enables admins to test alternate themes for debugging
    • Enables developers to build/customize themes privately
    • Enables you to create links that switch to specific themes
    • Enables live private previews of any installed theme

I understand that the plugin may not have done whatever specific task you were expecting, but I think it’s a bit unfair to call it “pointless”. There are many ways that Theme Switcha helps the WP community.

It doesn’t show you anything that you wouldn’t see by just actually, you know, switching your themes.

Like, then explain why the plugin has, you know, 6,000+ happy users? Pretty sure they would disagree with your, like you know, opinion.

I guess I was expecting something more useful, but this ain’t it.

I guess I was expecting something more useful from your review? Was hoping for some suggestions or specific ways to improve the plugin. Ain’t found it yet.

Also, appears to redirect to the main domain, when the site I’m working on is on a sub domain.

So why not show a little courtesy to a 100% free plugin and report the issue in the support forum? You know, so someone can actually work with you and try to resolve whatever problem you’re having. Like, that’s how all the, you know, cool kids are doing it these days.
