    Can you guys please, please, fix the Polish translation of OceanWP? Every time I upgrade the theme, I have to change text for “Tags:” and “Previous post” to Polish manually in the files. Even though Polish text is in the translation files, it doesn’t work for some reason for these two things.

  • Hello @serpher,

    Thank you for reaching out,

    In the theme > languages > pl_PL.po file, I only found the “Previous post” text is translated, but the “tags:” didn’t translate(screenshots).

    Could you please provide the correct translations of those texts?
    We will incorporate them into the next update.

    Thank you.
    Best Regards

    I just upgraded to OceanWP v3.5.8 but English translations are still there. There is a owp-string for Previous post but it is not applying properly.

    Tags are hard-coded into a file.

    Hello @serpher,

    Thank you for reaching out,

    I’ve checked the issue on my end. The solution is to re-download the translation files. There isn’t any hard code in the theme. We’ve updated the theme translation files as you requested in the following path:
    wp-content/themes/oceanwp/languages/{{HERE}}.

    However, it depends on the priority of reading translation files, which means the system is showing the old downloaded translation files from wp-content/languages/themes/{{HERE}}. This is completely normal.

    To resolve this, ensure the OceanWP theme is up to date. Also, check all plugins and ensure they are in the latest version.

    Then, using FTP/sFTP, go to the following path and delete all translation files (you only need to delete the theme translations).

    After deleting the translation files, go to WP Dashboard > Update, and then update the translations.

    By doing these, all translations will be updated here: wp-content/languages/themes/{{HERE}} and you can see changes.

    You can upload manually too.
    Go to this directory:
    wp-content/themes/oceanwp/languages/{{HERE}}
    Then copy your translation files and paste them here:
    wp-content/languages/themes/{{HERE}}

    Important Note: Before updating and deleting the translations, make sure to get a full backup of your website.

    Please let me know if you have any questions about the above steps.

    I hope it helps.
    Best Regards
