Poll troubles

So I install this nifty poll hack for my blog, right? I finally get it installed successfully, but I can’t figure out where to put it [the poll], right? So I get really, really brave, and I decide to make my own class in the index.php file, right? That’s where my whole problem starts. I want the #poll class to be along side the #rap class, but not inside of the #rap class. Anybody know where I should put the #poll class, and what I should type in the CSS to get it where I want?
