Polyland causing site to display wrong homepage

I have polylang installed on two different multisite installations.
Occasionally the site will display the wrong homepage. I have a static homepage set up, and I have seen it display the latest posts page instead, and on another occasion it was another random page (the most recent page I had created).

Logging into the backend without making any changes caused the problem to fix itself.

I have tried this possible fix:

But the problem had reoccurred since.
