Polylang and The Events Calendar

Hi,
I’m using both Polylang and The Events Calendar on my website. I know that the two plugins are not entirely compatible, but they works almost perfectly. One thing that doesn’t work is the weekdays translation of the calendar, as you can see here: https://www.tipicoascoli.it/eventi/

The weekdays are displayed in english, but the website language is italian. Since the plugins are not fully compatible, i’m not asking o translate the weekdays in the languages of the website, but to make them appear in the default language (in italian). If I disable Polylang, the weekdays are correcting in italian, so I think that Polylang is overriding the website language to english. Is there a way to correct this?
