polylang block the display of the menu on category and tag pages

    I found a bug: from version 1.8 Polylang is blocking the display of the menu on the category and tag pages. The archive pages (that use the same template) are working ok!
    The “Media” menu item on https://test.veridio.ro is a category page. When clicking on it the page displayed has no menu! The site use the latest Polylang version 1.8.1, but the bug exist also for 1.8.
    I discover that in the 1.7.12 is working fine – so, for the moment I have downgraded the production site at https://veridio.ro to use this version and you can check is working fine.

    I also have tested with/without customize slugs for category and tags – the bug persists.

    Hi!

    Are you able to reproduce the same issue with another theme such as Twenty Sixteen (you would have to reassign your menus to to theme locations) and with no other active plugins?

    Change the theme to Twenty Sixteen on the https://test.veridio.ro and is working with 1.8.1. So it seems to be a theme bug but I don’t know how to describe it considering the teme is working with Polylang 1.7.12 and fail to work with 1.8.1!
