Polylang icons do not appear on the website and menue deleted

Hello,

for my website I use the theme “lima” and I have installed the polylang plugin two days ago.
After creating two language sections and creating translated versions of a few sites, the plugin icons to select the languages still do not appear on the site.

After using this plugin, the main menue (located at the left) disappeared. Meanwhile I’ve fixed this problem by recreating it with the “customer”. Was that right? And how can I activate the language selection?
