Unfortunately I need to reopen the topic that I previously marked as resolved. It turns out that my fix just swapped the problem from one language version to the other.

Relevant plugins: Polylang, Five Star Restaurant Menu

Problem: menu SECTION titles and descriptions are only displaying in one language regardless of which language is selected. Menu ITEMS display in the correct language.

    Steps to recreate:

    1. Enter the Five Star menu editing screen for the faulty language, the Menu Layout area is empty.
    2. Drag and drop the menu sections to the relevant columns.
    3. Reload the site and the whole menu displays correctly.
    4. Use the Polylang language switcher to switch to the other language. Menu Section titles and descriptions are in the wrong language.
    5. Enter the Five Star menu editing screen for the newly faulty language, and this Menu Layout area is now empty.

I’d be very grateful for advice on how to fix this.

    Thanks,
    Isaac

    Hello isaac,

Could you enable the WordPress debug mode and enable error logging? This way, if any error is causing this issue, the logs would help us understand it in more detail. You could enable the debug mode either by editing the “wp-config.php” file (https://codex.www.ads-software.com/WP_DEBUG) or by using a plugin such as https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/debug/ ?You could forward us the section of the log file that shows the errors related to this issue which would help us understand the plugin or the problem that might be causing this issue. I would recommend recreating the issue just to make sure it gets logged.

    Hi

I have the same problem. Can you tell me how you resolved this problem.
    Thanks
