Polylang subdomain post draft preview and oembed don’t work

    Setup:

    – nginx two server blocks, for domain and subdomain, with https forced redirect pointing to the same root folder of woordpress installation, with permalinks configured.
    – Polylang pointing with a subdomain for the secondary language
    – cloudflare proxy for all DNS records

    Issue:

    – When drafting a post, post preview is opened in the main domain, not the subdomain, and so the https://sub.domain.com/p=1342 leads to a 404, as the preview is generated using the main domain.

    – When writing a post, the wordpress link preview oembed feature is looking for the oembed api at the subdomain, while the oembed api, is located on the main domain.

    Question:

    Is the only option for a wordpress polylang subdomain setup, to use the wordpress multisite feature? If not, where exactly in the code can I configure so that when generating a preview the admin user is redirected to the correct domain, for the preview? And where can I configure the wordpress link oembed provider to use the correct domain for fetching?
