Polylang – Temp index.php rename gives -> ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

    1. my permalink settings are postname
    2. i’m using a static homepage
    3. settings: remove language in permalinks / hide standard lang url/ static frontpage redirect to right language

    So here’s my trouble.
    This has actually happened a couple of times in several servers and several polylang versions.

    I have this wp new website to be shown to a client who already has a current site running.
    To keep the current site running i renamed the index.php in the server root to index_temp.php.
    Also did that in the admin settings, pointing the site url to that file as well. .htaccess also is also pointing to this renamed file.

    Current site is running, client can see the new wp site in the default language. But once you hit the button to change languages you get a redirect loop.

    Can’t figure out what to do.
