Polylang throwing me out of dashboard

Hi,
I downloaded and activated Polylang and it was fine while I was setting it up, then I made a mistake going too fast and I added French as the 0 language, while the initial site is in English. This threw me out of the dashboard and I couldnt login anymore. I managed to delete Polylang and reinstall but now whenever I reinstall (even from scratch) it logs me out straight away. It sends me to https://www.laurencepasquier.com/fr instead of the regular https://www.laurencepasquier.com/, which I can no longer access

I am using the Divi builder and the Josefin child theme

Can you please advise if there is some sort of incompatibility or if not, how I should proceed to start over?
