• I don’t trust any of backup plugin and this is one of them.
Is so strange free version. I have backup with clock in future and files arhive is not existing. My server have ok date and time.
The best way is a simply script to copy entire wordpress on remote location and a simply database backup plugin. That all.
    And for migrating 30$? :))))).
With my copy from up and with a simpliest plugin like Update URLs, I migrate my site only in 10 minutes.

    Hi,

Please, don’t do this to plugin authors. We appreciate genuine reviews, but it’s impossible to improve the plugin based on this kind of feedback.

You’ve given a worst-possible review based on something not very clear involving the time, with no attempt to address it in the free support forum, which is open to all and you’re welcome to ask us questions in.

At this point, you can’t know whether the problem lies in the plugin or in your web hosting, or in something else in your WordPress site. This kind of feedback doesn’t do anything for anyone.

    Best wishes,
    David

Ok. You’are right. I’am sorry. Not my intention to be like that.
I has mad at the moment with Clone/Migrating button and price.
Your plugin is simple, but puzzling.. Backup is one time with some options (like db, theme) and another time with other option
like I say, I have backup hour 15:30, but time is local and server 15:00. So strange.
Sorry but me method is simple and secure even if your plugin is free up to a point.

    Hi dcrst75,

UpdraftPlus uses neither the local nor the server time, but the WordPress time, which is configured in Settings -> General in your WordPress dashboard.

If we did not have a paid product to fund developer time, then it would not be possible to provide any free product to anyone. If you look at the top 100 WordPress free plugins – https://plugintable.com/ – then you’ll see that they’re almost all funded like that. So, wanting everything to be free is not realistic.

I would be really grateful if you could change the star rating on the review. As you can see, we’ve had 1.1 million downloads, and only ever had 24 1-star ratings. It’s fine if you prefer to backup manually – but it seems to me that that’s not a reason to say that this plugin deserves the worst possible review.

    David
