• This plugin added hundreds of lines of its CSS to every page of my site, even those that aren’t part of the BetterDocs page system. That CSS was added before the content. This is not good for SEO and user experience. The problem has been previously reported here on www.ads-software.com.

In addition, there is no way I could find to add your WordPress widgets to the BetterDocs pages so if you have rotating ads or other important content showing on your sidebar through widgets, forget it.

  • Hello @ajcomeau,

I hope you are doing well.

First of all, I am extremely sorry about the experience you have had with us. I have already talked with our Dev Team and they assured me this shouldn’t be happening at all. But It could happen for any style conflict or misconfiguration.

I have pointed out the issues that you are having right now. I can ensure you that we can help you to resolve these issues accordingly if you please share your webpage URL. We need to investigate this before sharing the reason behind this issue.

Again, I would like to apologize for this trouble. We always try to provide a helpful plugin and support.

    Thank you!

Thank you for your reply. I have already removed the plugin from the site and adjusted the content.

However, I did install the free version on a test site to verify the behavior. I deactivated all the other plugins as a precaution. As soon as I activated BetterDocs, it added all the CSS to the home page and two other WordPress posts that I checked. This site was running WordPress 6.1.1. The original site I experienced the behavior on was running 6.0.3.

The test site is running current versions of the following plugins – again all are deactivated, except for BetterDocs:

    Advanced Ads
    Akismet Anti-Spam
    BetterDocs
    Limit Attempts Pro – BestWebSoft
    Superb Gutenberg Blocks
    Superb Helper Pro
    WP Lightbox 2
    WP Mail SMTP
    WPForms Lite
    Yoast SEO

This should be easily reproducible in your environment. Again, one of your other support people previously acknowledged this behavior.

    Hello @ajcomeau,

Greetings. I hope this message finds you well.

I would like to express my sincere apologies for the inconvenience you have experienced with our support response. I understand your frustration, and I am truly sorry for it.

Our development team is currently working diligently to resolve the issue, and we will keep you updated on the progress.

In the meantime, I would like to suggest this plugin that can potentially help you get rid of the issue. It unloads CSS/JS from the pages you don’t require, and hopefully, this may help alleviate the problem.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
