Poorer and uncomfortable WordPress admin interface ergonomics
-
Hello,
I don’t know why it is displayed in the admin, in the list of articles or pages, next to each name, the mention “Classic editor” or “Block editor” (depending…). It’s very disturbing and annoying! : I of course use the Classic Editor extension, because for me Gutenberg is much too long, uncomfortable, tense, annoying, unbearable, and I need to be able to process clear and clean HTML on an entire page .
If anyone knows how to permanently delete the “Classic editor” mention in the list of articles, I’m interested.
I don’t understand certain developments (“progress”??) which add visual, functional or ergonomic discomfort.
Above all, when I see the new customization interface (“Customize” item) of the new 2024 theme, I find it delirious and scary.
I love WordPress and I think that Automattic is a really top-notch team that does a very high quality work, but I’m getting more and more worried about certain ergonomic or UI/UX choices, when you have to make more effort to concentrate to simply read texts or you have to click tenfold to edit something with a poorer result, and for the first time in many years I’m wondering whether I’ll soon be better off using Joomla or something else, for myself or my clients. It gives me the impression that WordPress is trying to drive out some of its regular users.
I don’t know if this is the best place to post this post but I couldn’t find anything better…
Regards,Fran?ois
