poorly coded

  • All looked very well when I started using the plugin. But when I wanted to expand functionality I ran into a brick wall. The source is poorly written, inconsistent spaghetti code which makes it very hard to build upon without having to hack into the plugin source itself.

    Parts of the code do need updating to make it cleaner. It was originally not developed to be expandable, however I have always been open to people asking for actions and filters to be added in to help them accomplish this. So I checked back and can’t see where you contacted us to help you out with that. But thank you for the review.

    All of those add-on plugins were possible because the core eShop plugin provided the hooks & filters needed to develop new functionality or extend existing functionality. In quite a few cases, people contacted us specifically to ask for new hooks & filters to make their add-on development easier and we have always added them asap.

    Did you at least try to contact us about it?
