    Hello!

As I searched for a solution I found this topic which had similar issue that I am currently struggling with.

I used a Popup Builder plugin on my page but now I wanted to disable it as the pop-up is no longer relevant. I tried disabling the pop-up but to my surprise it appeared even after (and it is not related to cache because I tried with different browsers and incognito mode).

I really wanted to get rid of my pop-up so I decided to delete the pop-up all together. Well, it did not help and it is still popping up.

My current situation is that I do not have any pop-ups appearing in the list but the popup still occurs.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Dear @joonas2701,

Most probably the popup is added to your page via a shortcode, manually.
In this case, disabling popup doesn’t turn it off, actually.

So please, try to remove the shortcode of the popup from your page and recheck the results.

    Hello!

I do not recall adding any shortcodes. Only thing I did was add the pages I wanted the pop-up to jump up (that was in the pop-up editing screen). If that added any shortcodes then sure, the shortcode may be the problem here.

The problem I am facing right now is that I cannot find the place to add/remove any shortcodes from my pages.

    Update:

Pop-up still occurs even after deleting the popup builder plugin.

As a simple test I installed the plugin again, created a new dummy page, and added a popup. This popup can no longer be edited. Disabling it had no effect, changing the picture did not do anything – I can still see the initial picture.

This popup seems to be hardcoded into the page but I cannot find a place to edit or remove it.

Do you have any ideas how to proceed?

    Hi @joonas2701,

Can you please try to clearing the cache and checking again?
As for the next question, can you please send me a screenshot from the part that is not editable and let me know the version of the plugin?

I will be here waiting for your answer.

    Hello!

I tried to clear the cache many times – no effect.

A detail I just noticed is that when I am logged into WordPress and open my frontpage (the page I initially added my pop-up to) then the pop-up does not “pop up”. Whenever I open the page WITHOUT being logged in it still pops up.

    Popup Builder version 3.62.1

As for the Dummy page I mentioned earlier.
    The popup I created

I tried editing it by pressing the “Edit” button. There is an Image Popup Main Options tab where I can choose the picture for my popup. It seems that the popup does not take the picture change into account as it still displays the original picture even if I change it.

Where I wanted to change the picture

When I deleted the picture from my media files the popup still occurs, but nothing will be displayed (only the “X” button where I can close the popup). When I added the picture to my media files again, the popup started showing the picture again. The picture had to be with the same name as the picture that was added to the popup.

The way I added the popup to my page

    Hey @joonas2701,

Thank you for the detailed answer.
I have talked with my team and we came to the conclusion that the issue is definitely connected with the cache. I saw that you have a corresponding plugin, please try to delete the cache using that plugin.
This is the main reason why you don’t see a popup when logged in as the cache is not affecting the logged-in state.
Hence, the popup is seen on Incognito and in logged out state.

Please let me know once you clear content from the “wp fastest cache” plugin.
You can find it this directory: wp-content/cache/wpfc-minified
Also, please delete the popup by moving it to trash.

I will be here waiting for your answer.

    Hello!

    Thank you for your reply.

Once I disable the WP Fastest Cache plugin, pop-ups are gone.
Although clearing the cache did not solve the problem, I now will seek the problem from the cache plugin instead. Thank you for your time and effort!

    Regards
    Joonas
