pop up calendar or..?

Hello, thanks for looking! I have been trying to create a php page within my wp subfolders that would allow me to either have my plugin calendar either be a pop up or show up on a page created by wp. When I tried putting the php code into the editor for the page in wp nothing ever showed up. Is there a way to do this?? Help greatly appreciated!
