Pop up gallery from text or image link.

Hi,

I urgently need to find out how to pop up a gallery as if
clicking on a thumbnail in an image list. The client just wants a picture that says “View slideshow..” and then it pops up the standard lightbox viewer with the left/right arrows.

If I need to change code then please tell me what to change since I should be able to sort that out. If there is a shortcode or something then that would also work.
