Pop-up html content showing in page source of every page

    Hi,

    I’ve noticed the last couple of days that the html content of pop-ups are appearing in the search results of a couple of pages on Google.

    The worrying part, the pages in question don’t have any pop-ups on them.

    When I look at the page source, all the pop-ups I have created are appearing within the html code of sites.

    Why is the coding for all the pop-ups appearing on every page of my website, even on the pages I have no pop-ups activated?

    Hello @jonthanr – thanks for reaching out and sorry for this inconvenience.

    You did not set any targeting conditions for the popup, so it uses the default which is to load everywhere.

    To resolve this type of issue, targeting rule is the possible solution.

    What a great and quick response. It just goes to show that a little knowledge on my part can be quite dangerous!
