pop up keeps repeating

Currently have the pop up active on home page only to limit the error we are experiencing (it’s supposed to come up on every page). Trigger is linked to on close cookie with default 1 month delay before pop up should reappear, however, after the pop up is closed the pop up keeps coming up each time the page is loaded (again limited to the home page only at present – so people don’t see it come up for every page).

Is there something i’m missing in the linking of the trigger to the on popup close cookie. Tried adding, editing, re-linking several times following support documentation, updated Popup Maker to latest version, all with no change in behaviour.

Also, you may experience this the first time you load the web page, the pop up will close automatically. Then the next time you visit the home page the behaviour described above begins. Any thoughts on the first time view auto-close of the pop up? As well as the repeating pop-up despite On Popup Close – Time Delay / Auto Open – trigger cookie link?
