    hi,

    we use your great plugin now for several weeks and have one problem:

    above the calendar-layout is on the right side a pop-up menue, where a visitor of our website can choose a specific month

    in safari I see the actual month in the pop-up-menue, in every other browser (at least firefox + google chrome) the popup-menue has no text and in google chrome it looks more like a search field than a pop-up-menue. but yes, we see the other months if we click on the pop-up-menue.

    but still we are afraid, that visitors don’t recognise, that there is a function to switch the calendar to a different month.

    is this a known problem, which could be fixed?

    many thanks,

    ferdinand

    I’m sorry to hear about this problem. I do most of my development testing in Safari, so it’s definitely possible I’ve overlooked an issue. Would you be able to share the URL of your calendar page? You can email it to the support address on the plugin’s admin page if you don’t want to post it here.

    It’s also possible that this is a conflict between the way this plugin is formatted and form-related CSS in your site’s theme. That’s why it would be helpful to see this in the context of your actual site.

    I should also note that I’ve received a request from a few users to add previous/next month buttons in addition to (or in place of) the dropdown menu, and I’ll be adding that in a future update.

    Thanks!

    Followed up by email, but I’m copying it here for anyone else who may encounter this issue:

    It’s a CSS issue… because your site uses white text, it’s rendering white text in the default state of the menu. (I can just barely see white?text on an almost-white background in Chrome, but it just looks all white in Firefox.)

    I should probably make some changes to the CSS in the plugin — I’ve been planning on working on styling those menus a bit anyway — but for now you can fix this with a bit of CSS. You can put this in your theme (if it’s a custom theme) or in the Customizer (Appearance > Customize):

    .ics-calendar-select { color: black; }

    I’ve added this fix into the latest update (version 5.3.0) so once you’ve updated to that version you can remove the custom CSS, if you like.
