    Hello,

I have seen a resolved topic which I think is exactly my problem (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/pop-up-appearing-after-disabling-it/). I think I also have an issue with caches. However, I am not sure how to solve it.

So basically, I have disabled, then put to trash, then completely deleted a pop up but it is still showing up. I have enabled another pop up that I want to appear instead but it is not showing up UNLESS I am also logged to WP. This is why I think it’s all related to a cache issue.

Please help me resolve this. Looking forward to hearing from you

    Thanks

  • Dear @asalaun ,

Thanks for getting in touch and reporting a problem!
Can you, please, let me know if you have any active cache plugin?
If so, please, try to clear the cache by using that plugin.

Let us know about the results, please.

    Thanks for your answer.

I have w3 total cache. On the setting page, the following are disabled :
    – Page cache
    – Minify
    – Database cache
    – Object cache
    – CDN
    – Reverse proxy

    Only Browser cache is selected.

I also have the plugin Autoptimize which offer the option, from the top toolbar, to “delete cache”. But I am not sure what it does.

Lastly, I am unsure how to clear cache using that plugin. I always do it with the tool bar at the top Performance>Purge all cache. I think it’s related to the plugin. I have cleared caches using this method many times but it doesn’t change a thing : the unwanted pop up still appears.

    To complete, I have :
    -pop up builder version 3.65
    – w3 total cache version 0.14.1
    – Autoptimize version 2.7.2

    Dear @asalaun ,

Technically there is no way to use plugins functionality when it is disabled or removed from your WordPress website.
This is most probably cache issue and you see the cached version of your website when there was a popup.

    1. Here is the FAQ from Autoptimize plugin’s page

“Clear cache” doesn’t seem to work?
When clicking the “Delete Cache” link in the Autoptimize dropdown in the admin toolbar, you might to get a “Your cache might not have been purged successfully”. In that case go to Autoptimizes setting page and click the “Save changes & clear cache”-button.

    2. And this one for W3 Total Cache
